Update - Study Permit Financial Requirements

Next year onwards starting on Jan. 1, 2024, application for Canadian study permit have new minimum financial requirement. New applications for study permit from Jan. 1, 2024 must have means of approach to C$20,635 (up from C$10,000), in addition to their travel and first year tution coast.
This change also applies to Student Direct Stream (SDS) study permits, which show proof of financial support with a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC). The minimum GIC amount will increase to C$20,635 from C$10,000 in January.
All the applicants need to apply before Jan 1, 2024 to avoid the new financial requirements.
